The scenery is breathtaking; the food is amazing; the people are welcoming, and there are endless beaches with a perfect sunbathing spot waiting for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, before you put in some serious tanning time in Phuket, we want to remind you to take a few precautions that will help “save your skin.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The strong Phuket sun might be new to your body, but don\u2019t worry\u2014our advice will ensure a pain-free holiday. You will enjoy the benefits of sunbathing and return home with a healthy, golden suntan to show off to friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let Your Body Adjust to the Sun’s Intensity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n


Because of the Earth\u2019s curvature, the sun appears closer to Earth near the equator, which includes Phuket. Sunscreen and beach naps won\u2019t guarantee a sunburn-free vacation. You should adapt your sunbathing habits and prepare your body for the stronger sun in the tropics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While enjoying the bliss of Phuket, remember to moisturize your skin adequately; apply it frequently, both day and night. Extended periods of exposure to the harsh elements contribute to dehydrated and damaged skin. This is often only noticed until after the effects have set in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quest for that perfect tan should always be accompanied by the effort to apply sunscreen at least 15 to 20 minutes before exposure to the sun.
